So we are looking at buying our first property in Western New York.

Most of my rental units are in Western suburbs of Chicago and looking for a professional, experienced and reliable property manager to handle that. 

- Chicago is worth it for us because it is the 3rd largest Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in the US, which includes Chicago proper, south & northern suburbs & western suburbs out to Naperville & Joliet.  

I am looking in Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster and Cumberland County, as well as in Western PA where I spend a fair amount of time.

For my new brokerage and REI companies, I need some decent legal and accounting advice (as well as a referral to a good day-to-day bookkeeper that can follow the CPA's instructions.  Grays Harbor area.

Based on what I saw when I was there it seems like a good area for what you want to do as most of the affordable homes in the Western suburbs are very old with really poor floor plans. 

Please send me a Western Union money order for the $4K difference right away as I need it to cover my moving expenses".A week or so later and that $28K check turns out to be fraudulent.

How about the Craigslist rental property scams, where the scammer from some remote location takes the photos from some other ad or property and creates an ad with an offered price way below market but requiring funds to be sent via Western Union?
