If it's an historic building the costs to renovate can be double,triple, or more a regular building with all the requirements the historical society can put on you and the increased loan costs for time to complete.You would really need to know all in costs before buying such a property.

I have 10 properties in the bay area suburbs  bought in 2010 they are all worth double to triple I am currently selling 3 condos as the cash flow is less than 500 a month each I will 1031 exchange them into 5 SFR in Florida that will bring avg 800  each.

When you're talking about "double wide" or "triple wide" units, some of these things are huge and relatively nice inside and out.

Hey Anna,I think having a goal of $1M within 5 years may not be the best approach.I don’t know if you’re looking in Seattle or elsewhere but it seems like a goal of tripling your money in 5 years may lead you to force something.
