My name is Matt Ashbrook, and the short version of my story (the long version is below if you feel so inclined to read it) is that I’m a new investor looking to build my real estate portfolio with the intent of retiring when I’m 50 so I can travel around and SCUBA dive and fish all over the world. 

Loved the part on "Learn to fish, don't just ask someone to feed you."

In my spare time, I enjoy exercising in the gym, running around Atlanta, traveling the world, fishing, watching college football, and snow skiing.

I really like to go fishing whenever I can lately, it takes my mind off everything.

So, it seems to me that wholesalers are "fishing for suckers." 

There are plenty of deals all day long in the oceans we fish in.

I figure the whole teach a man to fish metaphor hits here and I'd rather learn some market analysis than jump on here and constantly ask if the market I'm looking into is good

Parked it in tall dry grass and left the engine running while he went fishing.  

His night crawlers get eaten by fish and they are gone.  

I am definitely pivoting and broadening my vision on what can be realistically done.
