BP has always provided a lot more value because it's a real community that is well organized and  well moderated.

Does anyone have recommendations or suggestions for general contractors and architects with experience dealing with the city of Portland for a moderate size project like this? 

For others reading this in the same situation as me, there are a LOT of syndicators out there that also work with "sophisticated investors", which many of us with a moderate amount of real estate experience might qualify for.

That being said, there are thousands of members not using their real or business names, including many long time posters and even a moderator or two.How can members post about a contract, tenant, lease and partnership issue with any degree of detail if the the first google hit on their name is the relevant thread on BP?

As a moderator and member on BP for many years, I have read countless posts on the disappointments with BP Marketplace, and have sent Joshua Dorkin, Scott Trench, Mindy Jensen and anyone else I thought could make changes suggestions.

I've been using VA for other various tasks for over a decade now and has been super helpful throughout my career and feel I have at least a moderate level of experience hiring and training. 

So, lower your sights to more moderate returns, and focus on working with a reliable and trustworthy company.
