Landlords in Chicago commonly charge move-in fees rather than taking a security deposit to avoid legal troubles.3x rent/income is a standard requirement like others have said but sadly I could see this going away in the future because people are going to say it's "discriminatory against lower income individuals".

Californians in the state in a perpetual state of just barely scraping by = psudo-slavery.That's a very sad situation.

It would be nice if they were in a better position but they aren't and it is super sad for them to be so limited.  

Sad as they can make a crazy new revenue stream as the startup cost is not alot since they are only answering calls and sending emails.

Its really sad how they SCAM people 

I think overall I came up $15k ahead out of a over six figure portfolio over 3 years which is pretty sad but I'm fortunate that I didn't lose money.

Sad tax payers have to fund their removal.
