I love the location smack dab in a quaint upscale town and would love to reposition it.

It maybe a different story if you were in a growing market or quaint small college town.I'd say focus on a) debt reduction and b) saving.

There are remnants of the 2fl kitchen still visible - including a sink and a couple floor cabinets.

Fortunately, there is a wealth of information online about some of the top locations for vacation rentals - from beachside retreats and mountain escapes to bustling cities and quaint towns.

Our local building codes are here to protect hosts, as well as, guests.No matter how quaint an STR is, if it isn't built to code, it is a potential serious liability, and one, that even great insurance won't protect against.

Countertops for longevity  I get granite and  if it is small you can maybe snag a remnant but formica could be fine depending on your tenant pool.   

As of this moment,  they're nomads, intending to hop from AirBnB to AirBnB in fun locations (presently in a quaint vacation spot in New England) once every couple months, getting a taste of the United States before settling...
