You can go farther out in VA or Prince Georges county, or Baltimore in MD. 

You might also consider Prince Georges County or the baltimore market. 

Also areas in north Prince George's County down to Bowie/Hyattsville seem to be good for investment. 

Prince George's County on the east boarder of DC outlaws pitbulls. 

Like I said, it's really an integrity check because even if the VA challenged it (which I have never heard of) you'd probably have a plausible deniability to the point they couldn't enforce any action against you.I actually have property in Stafford and Prince William, both were bought with the VA and both are still rentals 15 years later.
