Look at other areas (or provinces) and the rules are for foreign ownership (if your wife's name will be on it).

Local lawyer may be helpful, but if it's within the same province then any lawyer should be fine, as you'd be getting title insurance anyway so most lawyers don't do all the searches they once use to.Just gotta make sure lawyer gets all utilities transferred/cleared.

So if 1 proxy vote = 3 votes, then that is how it is counted.I'm not in the US, but I know the government in one province where I have rentals has rules that stratas/HOAs have to follow and someone they can be reported to.

@Roy N do you think its a temporary boom market because of province recent changes in immigration program i am planning to buy a student rental property but I am still confused and double minded that if I have to spend 300k on a house i should be better off going to places like Windsor Ontario or somewhere in Ontario whats your take on this.please thanks for your response.
