Do good due diligence and then determine if it is a good deal.Most new commercial construction gets built to a gray or green shell (the metal studs and insulation exposed or a layer of drywall unfinished) so that the tenant can do the build out (finish it according to their needs).

Sorry I cannot provide more but regardless it sounds like you have a gray rental on your hands.

Gray is the more popular choice now, here is why I do not use grey unless on higher end flips.Countertops, most stone is more expensive with white and gray colors.

This is not to say this gray area not well regulated there are no skilled people around. 

In the Zillow pics of your Roma property I see what appears to be white epoxy in the front room/kitchen/dining area and then gray in the garage.

You still have to deal with water and sewer/septic issues; although I'm looking at having only those homes with composting or incinerating toilets but there is still gray water to deal with.As for renting them out short-term you might have to pay local hotel taxes.  

A suit that fits, in gray, black, or navy.
