It is very irritating when I or one of my staff members have to request that the tenant pay rent in escrow in court before she may obtain a continuance for a trial, but the judges don't know that that is required...

The regulations make it irritating sometimes, and you have to check to be sure you're in compliance because they watch you like hawks here, but nobody is going to put the kibosh on it any time soon, considering it'd collapse the county's economy if they eliminated STRs.

I suggest talking with a lender to make sure you understand everything that's involved.Secondly, if your wife is against this from the start, chances are she will be miserable and blame every little that goes wrong or irritates her on YOU!

Even if you get few published decisions on "piercing the corporate veil" and other such matters--way before it gets to that point in litigation the plaintiffs lawyers understand they do not have a good argument for piercing so they waive the argument so they do not irritate the judge, or settle the case on other grounds with a mere gesture at going for personal liability if the settlement does not work.

I have legitimate issues caused by the tenant and I addressed them within the bounds of the law, but this whole thing is so irritating because I get this condescending communication from someone who is short on facts and evidence so is trying to hike up the scare factor, meanwhile the tenant has been a total nutcase from start to finish and she first dragged her realtor into this threatening me and I found that so inappropriate because her realtor has the business that plows our road and she shouldn't get involved and take sides because we are also paying customers, then she drags this lawyer into it, and I am thinking that SOMEONE should be talking sense into her instead of feeding into her crazy and entitled behavior.
