No gold stashes to fall back on and really no way to build one fast enough to be useful.I have concluded there is not a damn thing that can be said to anyone to change the way they think about things, what they say, how they say it or their perceptions and attitudes.

That may (or may not) be enough to make a difference, you'd have to do the math to see.If you don't have enough liquid cash to pay off the car you might want to wait on the investment property until you have more cash stashed away.

The problem is the house looks awful. there's a derelict car at the end of the driveway, a stash of agricultural and miscellaneous tractor and equipment parts in a pile at the corner of the yard, a boat and his collection of high voltage electrical apparatus like a couple diesel generators, inverters, etc.

While all this was going down, I had no water and electric for 2 days, so I packed up a stash of water and gasoline (both were in very short supply) and headed further north on the Texas coast where I had a family member offer a hot shower and a warm bed.

I originally thought BRRRR but am thinking I want to stash cash and try to do that with a smaller house once I will need to put 20% or more down.
