Many media outlets, respected investors and the like are reporting 2013 will be yet another recession. Possibly more severe than the one in 2008 due to factors such as increased national debt, printing money, manipulating currency etc.

Do you foresee a 2013 recession? Curious to see what everyone here has to say.

I would like to add to what J Scott said. While it is true that INNOVATION is one of the mainstays of a vibrant economy, I believe that along with INNOVATION, American needs to improve its "WORK ETHIC." Just about every where I go these days, the people who wait on me act like I am interrupting their day. I hire someone to do a job, and they barely do the minimum to get paid. Ask a store to stay open till one minute past 5:00 PM and they act like you just asked for their firstborn.

The entitlement mentality has got to go. What was once meant for those truly in need has now actually become a GOAL IN LIFE for millions of people. I am 100% for helping the truly needy, but cringe when my money goes to the lazy. Just compare the people in a "soup line" from the 1930s to those in the "soup line" today. In today's soup lines, people are wearing new Nike Air Jordans, wearing new (but torn) Levi's, talking on their iPhones and listening to their MP3 players using Bose Headphones.

If America can keep innovating and we can improve our work ethic, nothing can stop us. Improve education, make kids pass the tests, teach them ethics and responsibility, and watch a REAL RECOVERY.
