I am looking at cheaper houses/townhouses no more than 60k because i'm looking to start small, it being my first future property.

I work part-time for a real estate company (Nomadic Real Estate) as a leasing agent and I just passed my VA salesperson exam so I hope to sell real estate in Virginia within the next couple of weeks.Within the next 4 years, I would like to generate enough passive income so that I can save for my future family.The ultimate goal is to generate enough money to be able to start and sustain a social entrepreneurship business to help schools in West Africa.On Bigger Pockets, it would be great if I could network with like-minded individuals.Francis

I am also a very novice options trader, and barely making any money with that... but I understand that is long term project that will feed me and my family plenty in the future; just like real state investing.My goal here is to meet like minded people.... and I know there are plenty, but they don't know who I am, why I want get into this business.

We also think that the rent rolls might have been fabricated, since they ended at a future date, but 3 of the units were vacant, and the rents were much higher than I'd expect to get.

My hope is to find a single-family (preferably a 3bd-2bth) in my hometown that I can slowly rehab and eventually, have the option to, rent out in the future.

I live in a very competitive and overpriced market and have spent the last few years focusing on my career as a Structural Engineer educating myself and saving my money for the future. 

They bought the house in fair condition knowing that they need to put some money into it to not only improve the future value but to also improve the current cosmetics.
