Hello fellow Investors!
Before I start I just want make sure I thank the creators BiggerPockets, I love your podcast and that is how I discovered the website, so please keep up the great work!
I am from New York, New York. So if you want to meet for a coffee, a beer or Taco I'm down. I came to the states from Honduras when I was 12, and who knows where I'll go next!
About me.
I am thirty one years old and I am having my first baby this April. I majored in finance, and but have mostly worked as a Staff Accountant. I was let go this June because I apparently couldn't keep up. The real reason why think I was let go was that I couldn't hide my feeling about having a JOB. I read Poor Dad Rich Dad, and of course like many others I felt that Robert was talking about my specific situation. I wanted to get out of the office and become and Investor... Well I kinda got what I wish for lol
I don't own any proprieties yet, heck I can barely feed myself, but I am dreading going to back to the work force. I really can't see myself doing in the long run. I am also a very novice options trader, and barely making any money with that... but I understand that is long term project that will feed me and my family plenty in the future; just like real state investing.
My goal here is to meet like minded people.... and I know there are plenty, but they don't know who I am, why I want get into this business. Ever since I read that damn book my life changed, all I talk about is this stuff. My friends are sick of me, and while I taught them a thing or two, I feel I need to move on. I am looking for people that can challenge my ideas and add to them.
Anyway... BiggerPockets community please tell me this... if you have less than 1,000.00 under your name, and owe almost 100,000.00 in student debt, and have a terrible credit, and income is not stable... where do you start?
Thank you for reading and if you can please just throw in an idea in there :)
have a great day!
