I have been giving Airbnb a chance and have got some bookings along with a few five star reviews which still pales to my 60 plus 5 star reviews on Homeaway.

I agree, the "plus" side as it were does seem debatable for those already receiving a premium, enjoying 5 star reviews, etc. 

After 25 4-5 star reviews I've had two consecutive three star reviews. 

These guys are rock stars and can command these splits.Most syndicators give a preferred rate of return, around 8%.If you have 3 or 4 friends, I would consider partnering with them, creating an LLC and an operating agreement.  

He even recommended a mortgage broker to me, but when I looked them up, they were getting terrible one-star reviews.

If you consume all the information on the podcasts, forums, books, blogs, and ect... you will become a REI all-star.

We are superhosts with a 5 star rating on all our listings so it's not the experience we offer causing the income decline.

And the wild thing is it was a cash purchase and so once the offer was accepted things moved quickly (the process took maybe five weeks - they had to get the renter out of my soon-to-be house as well - the renter wasn't a problem but it took some time - thank goodness my realtor was an all-star).Point is, it tends to always take longer than expected and so looking now is ideal - especially since the housing market tends to heat up in April.  

The property is in great condition but it is by no means a 5 star resort.
