The city was saying it would cost them 8,500 to demo the houses so they were going to try and give them away in hopes someone would fix up the neighborhood!

When it comes to rehab work, first few days are most likely going to be nothing more than labor for demo any way.

I've talked with several contractors about potentially jacking up the roof and replacing the beams, demoing the roof and rebuilding, and even filling the whole garage with dirt and sealing it up, but my usual crews aren't interested in tackling the challenge. 

We are moving a bar/restaurant area from a separate wing and are demoing out a set of guest rooms and public space to open up a lobby, new kitchen, bar, restaurant etc.  

Does anyone in the Colorado Springs area have any recommendations on a licensed demo contractor to remove two small single family buildings from a parcel of land?  

You buying ;)@Thomas Wassmann, I mostly appraise the equipment and environmental state of the properties...we do all removal, cleanout and demo if needed.

The abatement/demo phase is over and I need to get this house back together.

Correct-The money for demo & development (approx. 23mm) has been set aside by the state and would be deposited with the trustee (purchaser can choose).
