Still on the hunt for qualified contractors to handle the remodel of the existing units (tile all the floors, kitchen and bath remodel) as well as a surveyor, architect, and builder for the building we will be constructing if you know of anyone you would recommend.

Next you will need to put together your team: architect/designer (even if you are going with an off-the-shelf design); contractor; financial team, etc.

You'll need an architect to prepare plans that would be submitted, reviewed and eventually approved by the building department as part of issuing the permit.  

Also, you will need to hire an architect or engineer.A kitchen may need a grease interceptor installed. 

As you know, Mountain Brook is a high end area, and I hope if you are building there, you hire a good architect!

He will introduce me to his architects and builders so they can walk me thru the whole process.

I could be an architect and then slowly start my real estate investment while I have some other income and hopefully architecture could help me with my investment...Is this plan a bit naive?
