Education Plan?

Agnieszka Mach

I'm currently a first semester freshman at University of California, Davis. My ultimate goal is to hopefully have a legitimate career of rehabbing, flipping, and renting properties.

I was thinking to become a licensed architect and an interior designer and also obtaining an MBA in business. (A lot of schooling, I know.) I could be an architect and then slowly start my real estate investment while I have some other income and hopefully architecture could help me with my investment...

Is this plan a bit naive? Should I invest the time in becoming an architect? Will it help my investing career or do you think there is a better education path that could better help me and my ultimate goal?

Hi Agnieszka.

You sound ambitious! That's great.

Some questions:

1. Do you want to be an architect?

2. Do you want to be an interior designer?

3. Do you have any practical experience in rehabbing properties?

4. Do you have any money to start investing in real estate?

5. If you quit college today to pursue real estate - what would be the first thing you would do to set you on that path?

Pam
