This can have a loop hole if you talk a general contractor into letting you be the sub contractor and not taking pay ( you might have to grease the wheels for the General Contractor to let you do this).

Listen to the @Gino Barbaro podcasts, they say go for it "Lean into" deals, but you gotta have cash to get the wheels moving with the bank, then once you have the "relationship", you can do lots of things.

On a slab foundation the soil should be 4-6 inches below the top of the concrete but if it is not, and the soil gets saturated one of two things (or both) happen.
