Take out chimney if furnace vents in sidewall pic and water heater is electric or power vented gas.You will need to put all new cabinets and counter tops to bring up to 21 century specs.It ALL fits together. 

But you don't need Brazilian hardwood floors or granite slab countertops either.

.- All walls need re-painting- Re-do kitchen including countertop island- Some basement finishes- New appliances- Sanding some floors- Miscellaneous work Since it's a very short closing, I've scheduled Home Inspector, Septic Inspection/Cleaning, Water Well Inspector, Roof Inspector all for tomorrow.

Removing a part of a wall in the kitchen and adding cabinets, then painting the existing and new ones white, getting new countertops, sink & faucet.

Does anyone know of any way to find out what features a comparable home has in it (granite countertops, security systems, A/C, etc.)?

Hire the experts so that you can sit back, relax, not worry about if the countertops came today, if the house is being marketed, etc.

You may even need to replace floors, cabinets, or countertops.
