I'm a investor, flipper and property management company owner who specializes in central CT.  

Over time, you may want to hire a property management company as tenants can be headaches at times. 

the insurance companies are not charities; they deserve to make reasonable profit for providing the insurance.  

It comes down to how each county handles property tax valuation.To put it in generic terms - a title company & lender will base your initial mortgage payment on the property taxes of the previous owner.  

I looped in the owner of the company but things are still pretty rough. 

I am interested in meeting mortgage brokers, investors, and real-estate agents in the Austin area, as well as anyone who can connect my abilities as an engineer to a tech company in the area.I love learning new things, and not knowing how to do a thing has never stopped me from doing it.

That said, if you are working for a company that does not allow real estate in their 401(k) setup (most dont allow) then I can see where you might look at where is best to put my hard earned dollars. 

Interesting idea, but I suspect that would create more problems than it is worth.Most of the leverage you have with a NNN lease is that you are working with a company, presumably one that makes money. 

And when the company you're suing has shut down and apparently has no money, is it even worth the effort?
