If this happens coupled with a lack of moisture elsewhere - say 100 degree heat in Dallas in August - then the foundation will bulge and buckle.If the moisture is consistent across the foundation, the home will sink or raise, sometimes several inches.

from the outside the frame and structure of the house looks in good shape, but once you go in is when you the flooring in the back part of the house all going down to one low spot... if you look at a door way that is by it one side of the door jam is normal other side is 2 inches lower across the top if that helps any.

A pipe didnt freeze , a 1/2 inch sweat joint came apart , I just spent the last 4 hours with a rug doctor sucking water out of the carpet , and now have 4 large blowers going .
