Tenants with connections to the property

I didn't think this was a small town but maybe I am wrong. I seem to be taking a walk down memory lane with the prospective tenants. So far I have shown the house to the girl who used to live next door and the best friend of former owner (both of which did not qualify for the rental). Last night though was a real trip down memory lane including pictures. Apparently this was her grandmothers/aunts house and she was showing pictures of the house when they used to live there and she visited for all the holidays. This couple is very interested and likely qualified based on our discussion. I am hoping her husband is keeping her on track regarding being interested for the right reasons. Just curious what kind of experiences others have had on this front. I find myself favoring this candidate over several similar candidates but the applications will probably come in today which may have change my mind.

@Bill Gulley that is what I thought she would take good care of it. She was already planting flowers in her mind. I can't split this property from another so it likely won't wind up being sold but it is perfect for a long term rental and I would like to see someone in there who isn't just passing through.

Yes, hearing your story it is close. People do often tie their memories to places.
