The OP situation has more holes in it than Swiss cheese and posters that should good counsel are telling him , “if you feel happy about it it must be OK.”  

Sometimes we have to forget the cheese and just get out of the trap!  

This was proven to be true when I visited the property and the fridge was stocked full of beer, wine, cheese, fruits, etc.

Our cheese has been moved, so let’s find a new path through the maze to get it.

I would suggest pumpkin pie, or if you want to go a bit non-traditional a good baked mac n cheese.
