I'll continue to peruse BP and see if I cannot find a direction. 

I like taking calculated risks, I've left six figure jobs twice to peruse my dreams, fortunately I have a wife that believes in me and that I will not harm our family in my ventures.   

I was perusing my portfolio and took a peek at what zillow had them valuedI compared this with what the county had assessed as real value for tax purposes they were all off by 10,000   plus or minus from each othermy thought was that the county may inflate the valuebut in some instances zillow was a bit higher than the county on a couple of propertiesanyone else have a handle on how to read between the lines of these numbersto get a quick guestimate. without getting to heavily involved with comps.

I'm new here and don't have much time to peruse the forum, but if this has been brought up before, can someone point out a link?

What I mean is, I go to the tiebreakers listed on my 'general qualifications sheet' and briefly peruse all the apps I received at the same time, looking for move-in timeframe, (they may not want to move for 2 months), term they want, #of people (are they pressing occupancy limits), if they smoke, if they have pets, does their income pencil out, special requests (did they ask to paint or do things to the place?).  

Hello All,I'm new to the site, but have been perusing it for a couple of days now.  

Whats the simplest  formal or example of a break down oh how the numbers look on a rental for either a signal family or duplex for a Purchase to rent and hold, Like a quick glance to see if the house is worth perusing?

For someone who peruses forums on a number of different subjects it's refreshing to come on here and find how willing people are to share their expertise and knowledge to such an extent - and without all the typical animosity and flaming.

Peruse it, use it, love it...it's a great community of REI.

I've been perusing courses to develop ideas and strategies that I may use in investing but as has been noting multiple times on BP, the costs of some can be prohibitive.
