They may be more tenant biased, but the information is factually correct and helpful for tenants and landlords. 

But I've lived here for most of the last 15 years so perhaps I'm biased.

Although that is a gender stereotype, it seems to be true! 

Also, (my opinion may be biased, as I am very hands on with my units) if someone was going to do 2,000 dollars in work to one of my properties, and the only slight inconvenience I would have to deal with is painting a bunch of small spots on several walls, I would be all over it. 

Or is there maybe some risk and selection bias here?

I would think companies who specialize in insulation will be biased toward insulating the walls.

I was also using the listing agent, so the bias should have been with me, right? 

Oh and I have another bias- we were able to get conventional loans on properties up until just recently, actually.

You might want to choose roommate gender according to how many inquiries of each that you get.
