I had planed on attending, but would have had to leave work 5 hours early so it just ended up not panning out. 

I am actually planing to start a property management company so I will self manage.

It's a 4plex that I'm planing to buy and hold, renting out all the units.

After that I would start looking into different companies working in that space.After you have narrowed things down a bit I'd hop on a plane and get out into these cities.

Requesting/Writing a (VIF) "Verify in Field" on relevant work orders or during planing and any due diligence is a type of catch all for "Don't Assume".

We have planed a visit to savannah the first week in March and are hoping to visit some options then. 

Ouch.and you see how unpopular the airlines are when they make them buy two seats and or get off the plane.I was on a flight one time from Acapulco to SF  and we had that very issue delayed the plane 4 hours as arguments ensued..

Side note: The same should be said about Fond Du Lac, WI (within the article) be sure to book your 1-way plane  tickets everyone!! 

My opinion since I made the mistake already :) was that if I had to get on a plane to go see the property, it becomes a much more expensive proposition to deal with and I was less likely to do it.
