I'm new as well, but the BP website truly is a gold mine.I've lived in very similar locations (grew up in KS, stationed in Yorktown/Williamsburg, VA, Ventura County, CA), but KC is definitely the only place I would look to invest out of that lot.

I recommend having enough education to Ace the real estate license test in the state where you plan to do business.How much law education do you have - both business and real estate law?

Hello everyone.I stumbled upon BiggerPockets a couple weeks ago while searching for sites with information on multi-family purchases, and have been reading forums and listening to podcasts since, now finally (better late than never) introducing myself.I guess I have been involved with real estate (minimally) the last four years when purchasing my own home in Bakersfield, but then chose to rent it out and move to Ventura in order to be closer to the beach.

I'm from Ventura County and invest in Southern Cal, Phoenix, & las Vegas (metro & suburban areas).
