I'm currently paying down some old mortgages in the 6 & 7% range, but only because my acquisition cash is earning zilch while I wait for an opportunity.I probably wouldn't bother accelerating a tasty newer mortgage in the 3s.  

Many houses now have "snack kitchens" in their family rooms -- a small kitchen with a smaller refrigerator, a bar sink and a microwave.  

I  may be too much of a perfectionist, but making sure you had new sheets for each guest, getting stuff clean, vacume, putting out a few snacks, changing air fresheners, etc took a lot of time. 

There are always some free hot appetizer type snacks available.Lifestyles is somewhere around $300 for a year. 

There was food on plates left around the living room, fly strips hanging from the kitchen light, fruit snacks on the carpet, and the toilets/showers looked like they had not been cleaned in 6+ months. 

Can you imagine going into a gas station with a sign out front saying gas was $2.59 a gallon, and when you went to pump the gas you first had to pay a $15.00 fee for using their pump, an $8.00 "lot fee" for parking you car in front of their pumps on their property, a $17.00 "roof" fee because there is an awning over the pumps, and a  $14.00 "snack bar" fee to cover the fact that should you feel the need for a cool refreshing beverage, you have the option of walking in and purchasing an Icee for $1.99?

Just a few things I did to help me save (and they added up):- Cut out the cable and use wifi/Netflix - Make coffee at home - Stop eating out, only making it a special occasion here and there- Stop buying unnecessary clothes - Switched from a 35$ a month gym to a $10 a month gym- Cut out "snacks" when grocery shopping- Quit smoking cigarettes - Be mindful of utilities, shut off lights at night, don't leave them on- And most importantly, stay busy.

Working for 45-minute stretches (give or take) instead of for hours on end will ultimately allow you to clear your mind, grab an occasional snack or meal, and stay energized to meet your goals.Social Media DistractionsThough it may feel like staying plugged into our social media accounts is a necessary part of our jobs, the constant alerts and updates just drain our time and energy.
