I've looked through the forums and can't find answers to a question similar to mine so I thought I'd post.

Short Answer is yes, via interest tracing rules. 

But I get it, plenty do keep places posted that are no longer available, so I am nice, I answer.

Of course, with all things, the answers to all these matters will depend on the circumstances.California tends to have more laws on the books and requirements and restrictions that it can be a good idea to form a CA LLC for out of state property so that you as a CA resident are covered, and to try to have your contracts fall under the purview of CA courts.

I know there's a lot of details missing to actually give an accurate answer.

I do want to thank people for taking the time to answer this. 

One if you do not register your company as a foreign company you usually cannot file an answer in court if you are sued.
