I am staring renovations on a property this weekend.It's only a 1400 sq ft house in good shape and requires cosmetic fixers.I'm planning to rip up the lino and carpet and install tiles and repaint the entire interior and exterior.I'm planning to be very hands on.

Also, if you aren't a slumlord, those who are good will generally stay for a long time.I am not sure about other states, but Section 8 in Indiana has stared cracking down on landlords.

If anything is missing or left blank on the contract, it may get kicked to the back of the line.- buy your own survey- if the listing agent had a preferred title company listed in MLS, be sure to put it on the contract.- offer to pay for the title policy- do not include an option period.

I make a decent income and the house is in my name (to jump through all the hoops with lenders right now)...we both want to get stared in the next 6-8 months but I am not sure on the exact financing we should pursue...We are not trying to get rich overnight but would like a new investment that could grow to the potential of me leaving my day job.
