Bedding for 5 beds (adult daughter and boyfriend also came) added up fast.  3 beds were full size and we do not even own a full size bed, so they are now useless to us.

I spoke to a developer who recently finished a project....60% were Chinese buyers who paid cash, 30% were families with no kids (mostly techies), 10% adults with kids. 

@Chris SonesThere are federal guidelines related to maximum of 2 persons per bedroom (adults, I think), but it is not a universal rule/law.  

When her mom and I were visiting one afternoon, the roomie showed up with a male f**kbuddy and they went to the roomies bed and started shamelessly carrying on, in spite of the fact that there were 2 adults in the room.

I've heard some good things about the Downtown area around Market Street as well.I grew up in the South Bay and about half the adults in my neighborhood had grown up in Inglewood. 

Adults, not so much.

It's discriminatory to charge differently based on family make-up.I'd rather rent to 3 adults than to a family with kids, kids can do a lot damage.But we can't make our rental decisions or price based on these factors.

It's been true for years that more adults in the Valley were born in California than Vegas, I guess they could try Texas.

The other reason is that I can require an "adult signature" on delivery which could serve as proof that the docs have been received by the recorders office.
