Help recording mortgage assignment in Connecticut

We just purchased our first note, a low value 2nd and want to record the assignment of mortgage in Connecticut.  I have an account with Simplifile, but they don't service most of CT.  One difference in CT is all land records are recorded in the individual town, not at the county level.  I called the town to ask about the procedure and was told to just send the originals with a self addressed envelope and after 4-6 weeks it will be recorded and I get them back.  This didn't instill me with a lot of confidence, but maybe I'm over thinking this, but since this is all new to us I don't know.  Curiously, they stated there were no forms to even fill out to send along with the originals.  Any help would be great.

Ryan

PS: I've been a lurker for awhile but I attribute this forum and it's vast knowledge to pointing us in the right direction to take the note investing leap.
