Wow, so do they actually pull all the outlets and switches and pull the wire out or do they cut the wall, or get up in the attic or crawl space ?

I know I need a window in the room to make it legitimate and have thought of a few other possible issues (maybe I need a closet, an electric outlet, lights) but besides these things I am not sure what other issues building a room brings up.

Find out when the leases are up, if it's another couple of months, ride it out, let them know that you will not be renewing their leases and renovate as they go.

Some of those rechargable flashlights that plug into wall outlets and turn on automatically if power is lost. 

As part of due diligence I found a few active permits for the work being done: Electrical permit to rewire new 200AMP service w/switches, outlets and lights; and Alteration permit for major alteration to interior (knocking down walls to make single family home?)

Essentially it is an outlet mall with restaurants, bars, and entertainment? 

Trying to find outlets for these and profit.

So I fixed a few gfci outlets and a new sprayer for the sink.

With various outlets such as Thumbtack, Angieslist, Home advisor, AMT Inc, its easier than ever to find an affordable, honest contractor.Saving is awesome.

The cost wasn't bad - I had knob & tube removed and some additional electrical work done (added some outlets, added/moved some light switches, added a few wall lights, etc.) and it came out to under 2K (luckily my electrician is very reasonable - $40 an hour).As far as I know they removed all the knob & tube VIA the basement.
