Believe it or not, I got interested when I saw Carlton Sheets on TV.

Gurus, TV, books, podcasts, the internet, forums, etc are all fanning the flames of 'sure riches' in real estate once again.  

Except those flat screen TV's he bought 3 years ago, and all of the furniture, are worth fractions of what they were worth new. 

A wall mount TV is more invasive and I assume you allow those.

It’s occurred to me that by listening to all the hype put forth about real estate investing by the mentors, gurus, reality TV shows, thinly researched newspaper articles, news reports etc.  

Analyze, question verify, use your intelligence.Not because someone is famous, has money has a TV show or what ever does it mean their system works or their mentorship is great.Remember, someone with 300,000 followers of which a WHOPPING 30,000 of them are successful is STILL ONLY 10% success rate.

By the way, do you know how to program a 70 inch flat screen TV?"

It amazes me that people will pay $30,000, $40,000 or more because they saw this person flip houses on TV.  

If the bankruptcy was because they decided that a new TV and/or a trip, and/or a tattoo was more important than paying their bills you could count me out.Are you a landlord?
