They may be regulated, they maybe aren't.A Credit Union is a good choice for funding.

First, banks do not prefer W2 income over 1099 income at all.

I haven't worked with anything but hardwood and tile in recent years but would prefer a cheaper, waterproof option if it looks decent. 

Plus, the population growth and job market around Tampa keep driving rental stability, making it a solid choice for both cash flow and long-term equity.

However, I would prefer if the property could support itself and not be a drain on my personal income.  

This is probably why you want to bring equity back into your US business and any other investor might make the same choice as you.I brought up the challenges to come up with the solution, which was my last paragraph.
