@Nicholas Graphia, I felt comfortable with the Airbnb arrangement because I'd done it myself when I was between tenants and a big festival was in town. 

I can speak first hand on this as we had a huge loss of revenue for March and April due to the cancellation of a professional tennis tournament (BNP Paribas) as well as Coachella and Stagecoach festivals.

Cities have festivals and celebrations going on certain times of the year which attract people and Macon does not have that.

(Or it did until Covid.....waiting to see how long before volunteers can go back in....meantime we've gone the festival route).

We met up at a rock festival not long after. 

I was wondering about Indio as well since the big festivals are there, but would it book otherwise I wonder? 

JT generally comes alive with out-of-towners during the Joshua Tree Music Festival which is this weekend this year and ramps up into the Winter and Spring. 

During ski season the majority of people are here for the weekend and are limited to just the MMSA whereas during the summer everyone is on vacation (European travels too) with lots to do (golf, hiking, fishing, music festivals, Yosemite,etc).
