I don't know that they have a specific real estate focus, but from my experience they are good with the foreign-earned income or foreign tax credit stuff (as should be most CPAs?).

They know that most foreigners are lifestyle buyers and are therefore only going to buy one property in their market so their incentive is to sell to you and make the highest possible commission.

I can go closer to home for that.I have mentioned in many replies to posts in the BP forums that the security risks for foreigners in Mexico (in areas where tourists go) are way overblown by a way too sensationalistic press looking for bad news to sell.

I’ve qualified as real estate professional since 2021 and just found a potentially good opportunity to acquire a property in Mexico that would make for either a solid STR and/or eventually our forever home.I’m completely new to acquiring a foreign property- how to finance, what purchase process looks like, how foreign STR is taxed, does real estate professional status matter, etc.

Looks like in my lease I have that it is the tenant's responsibility if there is a foreign object other than toilet paper that causes the clog but it fails to specify determining fault.
