Spain Property Mortgage

Hi, I am looking to purchase a property in Madrid, Spain. I know, for a non-EU resident, I can take a Spanish Mortgage with local banks, but I was wondering if can organize and pre-approve it with Spanish bank that have branches here in the US. Connecting with Spanish banks via emails is almost impossible and using brokers in Spain is really tedious and expensive for no benefit. If you have been through a similar process or have contacts, it would be great if you can shed some light. Thanks
