I chose wholesaling for one because I have been in mortgages for over 10yrs in the operations side and I wanted to branch out into another side of the industry but still helping others.

That's great you were able to do some deals here I would love to be able to start local then branch out into other markets.

They’re all over the state, but I have a relationship with the Kissimmee branch.

:) What are some ways you more experienced people began branching out from the conventional methods?

As for each branch of service Commanders and First SGTs/Sergeant Majors react differently.

Often you can get duct runs up to an attic, then branch out from there. 

Most of my experience has been in buy-and-hold rentals but, want to start branching out into flips. 

I have a kind of an odd questions for fellow landlords or if anyone is in the insurance side.Last year when Irma hit South Florida, I suffered quite a bit of damages on a number of my rental.A particular one is a multi family building - I had fence damages, tree branch fell on roof, poked a hole through the roof, through the ceiling, debris everywhere inside, outside...so I filed a claim to my windstorm insurance carrier.I was lucky that the apartment the branch went through, was vacant at the time. 

I currently live in Columbus and am looking to start my portfolio here and may branch out in a few years.
