I got screamed at by a clerk at the local grocery store for bringing in my own bag - which I kept on my arm to simply put my bagged groceries into and I never put it on the conveyer belt.People are stressed and angry and scared. 

I recommend Authentic Happiness by Martin Seligman and The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt as a start.

He'd rip open the bags of garbage, with the excuse that he was looking for recycling to separate. 

My man, the tenants probably dumped a bag of concrete in the septic.

@Ani KapCut the lip off and throw 3 or 4 bags of quickrete down.

Pollution dropped, outside litter reduces, plastic bag reduction etc.

We had a tenant who had snuck one in and she got busted when the owner (who did his own maintenance) was tossing out the garbage over the weekend (no pickup on weekends and he'd throw the garbage bags into the back of his truck to haul to a different property with a dumpster he owned) and he caught the odor and opened up a bag to find rabbit cage sawdust and droppings - and a receipt with the tenant's name on it.She chose to leave, and it took a while to get the smell out of there. 

And he went through every bag with his bare hands, looking for recyclables.  

I will use an iron and brown bags to melt and soak it it up  (fingers crossed).  

We often set up a large trash can and provide trash bags, so tenants can easily get rid of trash.
