Not that much to do, pretty flat landscape, too large to be cute and too small to be interesting. 5 hours to a major airport.If it has to be Wisconsin to retire, I'd rather look at the west side of Milwaukee ("lake country") - it's pretty, you have lakes and at least some hills, 30 min access to a 1.6 million people metro area (Milwaukee) and you are in Chicago in an hour and a half.

The only time I've heard of notes getting called is when the borrower tips off the bank that they sold the house and are no longer on title.I suppose the landscape could change as you have suggested, but seems unlikely to me.

I can see this principal applying more broadly to AP subject you are raising, but also as the STR legal landscape develops (and the end game there seems to be eventually heading towards a more unified policy and even constitutional argument in front of the Supreme Court, in my opinion) - this may apply very readily to a sound legal strategy for STR protection?
