Hi BiggerPockets community,I’m new to real estate investing and currently running a remote operation to help connect investors with distressed homeowners and foreclosed properties across various markets.

I am currently an Asset Manager for Multifamily Deals as my W-2 job and looking to buying my first deal in College Station/Bryan Area.Anyone I can connect with to pick their brain on different investing strategies? 

Ask to speak with some of their current owners and current/former tenants.

Is it worth talking to someone to start the tax planning convos if this is my current situation?

I think the current zoning and your proposed use as it is zoned should help. 

@Caleb Brown -Thank you--the place was purchased early last year by current owner and completely renovated. 

Don't pay the current owner (higher purchase price) for the work he/she didn't do.

I am currently based in Canada and am looking to embark on my real estate investment journey in the United States, specifically focusing on multifamily properties. 

I am a current university student with about a year and a half left, who has been interested in finance and real estate for a long time!
