It's part of the bundle of rights land ownership carries with it and the right to the fruits of the land.

I really enjoy what we call "texas country" which is not typical country from the Radio, its more raw stuff, people like Hank III, Wayne Hancock, Unknown Hinson and the like.I also found a band on myspace called "The Wrong Trousers" in whom I have really started to listen to as much as possible.

Many areas are so over built that no one should be buying raw land there.

A good deal could be a multimillion dollar strip mall in an up and coming area or a piece of raw land near where a new freeway is going in. 

As you move forward there are some ways to mitigate that through structure and limiting improvements on raw land to entitlements only.  

Your brother got the raw end of that setup. 

They have no voice in deciding the particular loans that will be funded.It has been my experience that once you get beyond investing your own money, in your favored asset class, in your own backyard, you move past the "low hanging fruit".  

A hoarder won't change behavior just because they got a fruit basket when they moved in.

It's a truly unique, raw, creative, fun and personal engagement.

When the next down turn occurs, I hope to be ready to pick up some low-hanging fruit.
