I’m an RN and my husband is a teacher and we plan to use our income to achieve FI.

A CPA needs an accounting degree, a lawyer must have a JD, a dentist must have a medical degree, a banker will most likely have a bachelor's degree, so will a teacher.

Look for a teacher, not a salesman.

The only con that I have is that he's an inexperienced public speaker/teacher so it drove me a bit crazy with how her presented the information; he rambled a bit.

Knowing that as a teacher I'm not going to always have enormous amounts of capital lying around, I've been trying to research other options and listen to specific podcasts regarding that issue.

Definitely an interesting bill for Hawaii where education is not funded by property taxes.As a quick side note, Hawaii teachers are not paid enough.  

I am reminded of the old adage about teachers (another noble profession!)

What's wrong with adjusting the rent schedule such that 12 months of rent is due during 8 months, March through October, similar to how teachers were once paid during the school year and not the summer months?

This home is located less than five miles from schools and hospitals making it an ideal rental for teachers/doctors and also falls within the best school district in Canyon County.

My favorite term is servant-leadership - and I try to follow it and be like my favorite teacher... who lived a little more that 2000 years ago :)Going forward, I'm interested in multifamily and business syndications, mobile home parks, funds, notes, tax liens, and if it is a really good deal I'll pick up a buy and hold rental property.
