Afternoon! I'm Chad from Houston but grew up in Lubbock.  Full time mechanical engineer in the oil and gas industry, part time investor chipping away at my cash flow goal number - primarily from a passive role lately.

I've dabbled in RE off and on since 2007. I built and sold a spec home in Austin, owned two rental properties (since sold), and most recently got into a LP role in a multifamily apartment syndication which I'm excited about.

My day job is project manager/engineer and construction guy and I use all those relatable skills to help in RE deals.  I really like people and hope to not just make deals but make long term relationships based on trust, respect, and integrity. My favorite term is servant-leadership - and I try to follow it and be like my favorite teacher... who lived a little more that 2000 years ago :)

Going forward, I'm interested in multifamily and business syndications, mobile home parks, funds, notes, tax liens, and if it is a really good deal I'll pick up a buy and hold rental property. Short term I'm trying to unleash some of the $ I have tied up in IRA and 401K mutual funds and convert to self-directed, as well as get some assets so I can help the kids through college.

Looking forward to learning more and hopefully I can help along the way....

Chad

@Chad Cunningham Sounds like you're on the right path to building your financial wealth by applying the principles of your favorite teacher from 2000 years ago (I'm sure most of them are still true! :) ) and investing passively. I have personally also leveraged my IRA accounts and helped several other folks to do the same to invest these in real estate. So very familiar with checkbook IRA and a regular SDIRA with custodian. If you have any questions about these or anything else I can help with, feel free to reach out.

To your success!
