Crime is 1/3 the national average, property taxes are 49th in the country (making your ROI better than most states), median home cost is better than almost anywhere else, and median income is among the highest in the country because of all of the R&D jobs in science, technology, aerospace and defense industry.Huntsville is a primary nuclear target, so if you worry about that diversification is a great idea, but you can inspect every property, have oversight on construction and property management, and get off market deals more easily.

I personally wouldn't go nuclear at this stage but that's up to you.

BUT, if this is soon to be a rental property...I may forego the nuclear option and just put in a short, one car front drive and then ave a lease for your next renter that parking besides the one pad is not guaranteed.

I am very "Green" in the REI world, I have absolutely NO background in it other than the past 3 weeks of reading and trying to educate myself on different ways of REI and how to get started when you are as green as I am:) I work at Oconee Nuclear Station as a Quality Control Inspector and came across BiggerPockets just from doing research on the subject.

I initially went to a community college in the Sacramento Area and transferred from there to UC Berkeley in the San Francisco area where I studied nuclear engineering.
