Newbie in Kingwood, TX and Mishawaka, IN areas

Hello All! I am pretty excited to be a member of this awesome platform. I am an ex-Navy Nuclear Electronics Technician now working in the power generation industry. I realize in my title that I have a few different areas named so I'll explain that. I own a home in Kingwood,TX (My zip code falls under Humble, Atascocita, and Kingwood, TX) where my family resides while I am away on work in New Carlisle, IN. My work schedule only has me working for roughly 6 months out of the year so I am back and forth pretty frequently, splitting my time between the areas that I mentioned in the subject of my post. I eventually want to settle down permanently in TX. While Mishawaka isn't a bad area, I just don't have that love for the snow that I feel someone living in Mishawaka would need to maintain their sanity :)

I just recently started reading a book on wholesaling by Jerry Norton and I just wanted to find a place that I could gain more knowledge from people who are doing it on a daily basis in on near my area. I am hoping that I can one day acquire the means to be financially free and be able to devote the majority of my time to my family. With that, I want to also be able to get into a position where I can give back to my community and my church. I am very optimistic about this endeavor and I hope that I can learn from the wonderful people in this forum. My goal is to have at least 1 successful wholesale under my belt before June of this year if that is possible, but if I could finish 1 by the end of the year I would be just as pleased. From there, I hope to branch out into buying and holding to generate permanent income streams. All said and done, I'm really just hoping to find something to devote the time in my day that I spend doing unproductive things towards something more beneficial for me and my family. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my introduction. Take care and God Bless :)
