If you just compare the main coverage amounts such as dwelling, liability, deductible, etc. you could be missing HUGE differences in the policy that are written in insurance lingo.Foremost is a good company.

An ADU is an Accessory Dwelling Unit -- specifically, a garage or other structure converted into a living space like a studio apartment.Houses can have one ADU and small multifamily property can have two ADUs (and more under certain circumstances). Here's an example deal, one I was exploring with a client recently:https://www.redfin.com/CA/Los-Angeles/624-N-Evergreen-Ave-90...This fourplex has two large garages, each of which can be converted into a studio apartment collecting $1600/month in rent (with plenty of off-street parking still available for tenants).

@Kent Kiess the downside is if you do borrow your own $$ You instantly reduced your death benefit your lived ones receive 2nd the amount of insurance your loved ones get is drastically less vs if you bought term.Question would you ever pay an extra 200 a month on your auto ins if it had a savings account mixed in confusing the real amounts and cost of your insurance.Keep it clean and separated.

Each carrier will evaluate the property and determine what the cost will be and that's why each carrier has a different premium for the property with generally 85-90% of the coverages being the same.If you feel the dwelling is low see if they have a guaranteed home replacement endorsement that can be added or 150-200% dwelling coverage to truly protect yourself in the event of a total loss. The market is going to be like this until 2025 most likely so the easiest thing to do is raise your deductible without sacrificing coverage.
