I know others say "only if it's worth the time" but if you draft up your agreements well enough you can protect yourself from liability while you pursue this thing and obtain a great education.I have a lot more skills in the RE market in my area because I took the time early in my career to tackle some weird and complex cases.

I soon learned that in order for a neighborhood to be revitalized, eventually all of the players - residents, businesses and ESPECIALLY the local government - will need to be on board.IMO, you can tackle this from two angles:Pull together the local government, businesses and Investors (don't try and go this alone.

Try talking to folks who are doing what you want to do and see if it's right for you.If you decide to pursue it, keep in mind you'll be passing on deals to others which may be tempting to tackle on your own.
